week 28 ...... is that the moon?

the belly shot of the week...and i might say those lines on the side of the belly are not stretch marks....
remarkably i don't have any stretch marks yet...that may be because i have the secret special sauce that i use.
my friend melanie makes me a special all natural, no artificial colors, flavors and no msg, shea butter belly butter which she so wonderfully adds rose geranium oil too and i use all her soaps
so this is a promotional ad for melanie and her company lazy bee
so not only do i smell like a flower but my skin is like putty ready to stretch at every kick
the kicks: let me explain those because it is amazing to actually watch the foot hit the side of the belly and than watch the belly expand, yup i can see feet, and when she turns i can feel her little butt hit the wall of my belly it is amazing and i have found hours of entertainment watching my belly move...sometimes its more fun than actually paying attention to my class lectures
so this week in the land of home improvement and baby development:
the picture on your right is what i see when i look down or is it the moon? exciting isn't it.....
so to counter balance this and to actually get an idea of what my feet look like i took this picture:
these are my swollen little feet in my new crocs! which i have to say are a blessing to all feet puffy!
this weekend we will continue the grand adventure of working on the house
i need to vacate the premises in order for paul and aaron to chat bookshelves without me constantly going...
"aaron can you take the laundry downstairs?"
"aaron can you help me put the groceries away?"
"aaron can you rub my feet?"
"aaron can you take the trash out?" man i drive myself crazy after a while. aaron is going to be rock and roll dad on friday eve with his band lawton brothers a fun eve for all. baby will have heard dad play three times! she will probably be coming out singing and tapping her little foot.
at this point charlotte has done a GREAT job in the dining room and soon we will be all done.
which means we can actually sit down and eat maybe.....depends on if we get the dining room table painted and everything else out of the dining room
we have a mantle in the living room! so one more thing paul was able to help scratch off the things to do list.
and YIPPPEEEE!!! and thank you paulcharlotte for being our little house elves and helping us make some sense out of a construction zone
this weekend i plan on going shopping for tree leaves (which will now be fabric not wallpaper) and bird silhouette stencils for the mural
so maybe just maybe there will be a nursery picture up next week......
things i am currently thinking about obsessively:
when will the baby come?
will the baby come before the shower (May 19)?
will aaron go to the shower if i am in labor actually will i go to the shower if i am in labor?
how big will the baby be?
will the house be ready?
will we actually have anything to put the baby in? meaning a bed, a stroller, a diaper, clothes we are doing well with thanks to cyndie....
that's all for this week stay tuned because after this commercial break we will surprise you with what is behind door number 2!

just because....

the following are some pictures that we took this past week wanted to share.
all is good in cleveland
the snow is melting, the cat is being used as our practice run, next week cat in diapers! could happen.....
in a few days we will post the weekly belly picture.....the update as of now....
i have had the braxton hicks contractions which is no big deal other than my body is doing exercises in prep for the big day....
the daily comment still is are you sure you are due in june.....guess i am a little big...or the baby is...thanks bristol's for the big baby genes....
lamaze was actually better this week aaron had to wear a empathy belly
which weighs about 30 pounds so he now understands why i have to roll off the sofa instead of just standing up.....he has been a very supportive husband and has taken to messaging back and feet as well as jumping to his feet at all my food cravings....
we got a great box filled with goodies from cyndie toys, books and some of the cutest clothes! i can't believe how cute the shoes are!
as you can tell we have done very little actually no shopping yet so we are still awed and amazed at the ruffles and all things tiny!
just wanted to say hello to everyone and share some happy thoughts as the snow melts!
remember the baby loves e-mail......and we do read them to her....so send her a message

week 27 - as the world turns

what an exciting week! so much to tell.....
lets start with baby. she is doing well kicking mom A LOT and she has started kickin' dad ALOT also
we have one determined child! bec is hanging in there waking up in the middle of the night because a foot kicked a vital organ the newest phenomena to this pregnancy is swollen feet!
oh yeah i was warned by my mom that this would become an issue and well it has.
so far only one pair of shoes fit and that's on a good day so i have been on the quest for some new swollen feet shoes and here they are crocs. haven't bought them yet.....but that is the mission for the weekend.
the weather my next favorite topic........
last night aaron and ate out dinner on the front porch (the last two days had been as high as 70!) watched a wonderful lightening storm and woke up this morning to about an inch of snow. love cleveland! one can never get bored.
the HOUSE!!!!!!
well this is good news very very good news we have the beginning of a bookshelf! aaron and pop are working hard to get everything level, square and functional which for our house is pretty hard and incredible.
charlotte and i have been painting away in the dining room and by this weekend should have a fully painted dining room.....
aaron's studio is being cleared out, patched and painted for the computer table so the nursery will be empty
so where do we go from here?
well the floor in the dining room needs to be stained and polyurethane, than we can unpack finally after almost two years all our books onto our bookshelf, which means the basement will be cleared out YIPPPEEEEE!!! than we start sanding the ceiling ion the nursery once that room is empty and than the fun begins: murals, cribs, and rocking chairs!
only three more months and we can actually see the light at the end of the home improvement tunnel....now this does not mean the house will be done but at least one room will be (the nursery.)
lamaze story of the week:
our teacher is a bit on the controlling side but...so it goes
last week we learned how to relax which was fun except aaron and i laughed through most of it.
we were laying on the floor and imagining the beach....now for everyone else in the room they were picturing blue water, white sand but for me i was picturing lake erie, rocks, and the strong smell of fish. did not help when the teacher said now imagine a nice breeze and aaron blows into my face
yup we are the trouble makers laughing and imagining midge season when the lake turns over and the smell of sewage hangs in the air
ah cleveland!
the baby has an e-mail account baby@bristolarts.com the baby would love to hear from you.
we want to take this time also to thank family and friends for your support, conversations, and love, we would not be sane without you!
