yes we made it through another new years celebration in collinwood - which is always entertaining - but this time i actually stayed up to 12:15!!!
Sadie and Si crashed early
so what now - because every year comes with hopes, dreams, anticipation and anxiety right??
this year is the year of dragon and simplicity - how this translates is - no new anything
no new projects - no new thoughts - though there are few things we just can not avoid
Sadie will be going to kindergarten in the fall so we are busy looking at schools
we are down to two we really like
Of course both are very play based learning environment which we think Sadie will thrive in - Silas can go to the Holy Rosary with Sadie so that is sort of a nice thing - but who knows out luck they won't get into anything and we will be home schooling at night?? (kidding)
until this past week we have been in hovering around 40 degrees so we have been getting out any chance we can -we got dumped on this past week so even though we were covered in snow we went out and shoveled happily - never would of guessed that kids would like to vacuum and shovel. i will not argue on this, silas shovel the entire street saturday morning
sadie and i went to the "Dare to Dream" Disney on ice show (Thank you Bumpa!!!) and i am not sure she even blinked during the show she was having so much fun!!
the biggest thing the kids are doing now is playing kitty cat - they both pretend to be cats and chase each other through out the house it is fun until you have heard only meowing for about 2 hrs straight
we had a fun never ending birthday party for aaron!
sadie actually asked the other day - "is daddy's birthday over yet?"
it is officially over now - we went out for a fun dinner with a bunch of friends and the biggest secret going around the table was - Declan (Sadie's good friend) kissed her on the cheek at the bouncy house :)
speaking of the bouncy house we are getting ready for Si's bday and it will be at the
bouncy house!!!
totally excited by this - aside from that we are just hanging out keeping busy and keeping things simple - so between now and than we will be going to dance party, the lion dance to celebrate the new year, napping if possible (everyone is phasing out of naps makes me very very sad)

Sadie has taken to picking out her clothes every morning sometimes- like this morning it is a mish mash of plaid, stripes polka dots and the like - but no matter what the combination is she is very happy to do this big girl activity by herself
