christmas come and gone - new years just around the corner
really it was one of those things almost everyday we told sadie and si
"stop fighting! santa is watching - and he can still mark you on the naughty list"
"don't pull the cat's tail"
"SHARE!"
whether it worked or not i have no idea - because they did get ALL the presents from Santa
Sadie was up till 11 christmas eve - asking for snacks, songs and hugs
her last pathetic cry for not sleeping -
"mommy i did not sit on santa's lap how will he know what i want"
this one ended in tears of exhaustion
Si went down as with a smile on his face
both kids woke up at the usual time 7 am
Sadie "Did Santa come last night?"
squeal and scream
both ran to the tree screaming with excitement it was wonderful
an hour later not a present was left unharmed
we did not have a white christmas - but we did go down to the park with our new construction cars and played in the sand
thank you to everyone who help make this christmas so magical
i have vacuumed and i have cooked - ah the vacation of a mom right?
of course you are wondering what is the favorite toy or toys - and i have to say i don't think there is one over another
Sadie loves dressing up - she puts on a cutie dress everyday, blush, lots of jewelry and hair pretties - it can take up to an hour to get her dress
once dressed in heels she crawls around on the floor playing with cars or play dough
Si is really into building robots with legos, play dough or even Mr. Potato head
so let's just say we have had to remove some toys for lack or sharing, 2 toys have actually been recycled due to being played with too much they broke - it has been fun!
the pneumonia really kicked me back a bit and if you know me slowing me down is not easy for any one
but i have ideas for the new year - most of which are just trying to catch up with this last year
and finish the kitchen ???? guess i may have to take off another week to do that :)
we are looking at schools starting the second week of January
the first school we are looking at is the Cleveland International School
we will let you know how it goes - still trying to figure out how to go east than west with the kids and work - no idea how that is going to sort itself out - perhaps we will have hover cars by than that go really really fast so i don't have to think about it
ps. sadie and si both love to paint their nails and si is really into strawberry shortcake :)

the format has changed
either i can write or i can post pictures it appears i can not do both at the same time anymore :)really what has happened is i have gotten really really busy
so be lucky that i am doing anything - just kidding
we are counting the days till x-mas and let me say we are VERY excited
this year is different - Sadie knows that every package that arrives at the door could potentially be a present for her - so we have had several earth shattering melt downs on the porch - as i am trying to explain that we have to use patience - Si is still to young - though he does love to watch the dramatics and point out
"Sadie is crying" "Bubby has stopped crying"
"Bubby gets candy"
wise words from a little almost 3 yr old
and yes i have planned his b-day party - and yes i am like 2 months away - and yes i have invites created and ready to go - i have the bouncy house booked - i have cakes planned - see i am always thinking one party ahead
but x-mas
we are excited - we have toned things down a bit this year and it actually has worked out well
the weather has been a bit nutty and say like 60 degrees here and there - so it really has not felt like x-mas and because of that we have done lots of stuff outside instead of staring at nicely decorated trees inside
though last night we did go tour Stan Hywet gardens and run through ALL the lightsthe kids had a blast
we finally got some snow - about an inch or so which was wonderful - made a snow man which silas instantly stepped on and aaron took the kids out sledding today
this was the first time the really went sledding down a big hill
let us say extreme children - we are not a bunny hill sort of family - we are the mega giant mountain sledding kind of family
but even though there was snow it was more like mud sledding than snow sledding
no matter covered in mud or snow everyone was ALL smiles and very very happy
so bring it on cleveland we are ready for some real weather!!!!
we are sending our love out to everyone this holiday season and we are looking forward to having a few days off to sit around and play with ALL our new toys!!!
