week 33......times they are a changin'

only one month and two weeks!
we are ready well sort of we think we are getting ready which is a good thing. we bought a shrub.....that in some ways is a good way to get ready for a baby plants right?
why worry about a nursery when really all a baby needs is a good shrub.
so what has been going on the last week......
first the shrub....its not a hemlock (no worries meloyde) its a little arborvitae which is super cute and green! and we have two!
this week than i get to sit around in a lounge chair sipping lemonade with a bull horn and watch aaron plant all our new happy plants.....i discovered this week that bending over to garden is not going to happen until maybe july so i have the hubby to help out (he just bought some crocs so he is now ready to play in the dirt)
the baby is kickin' strong and my new favorite hobby is playing my tummy....when she sits a certain way i get a really neat hollow sound sort of like bongos so i like playing the tummy and making the sound occasionally she will play back my hitting my hand with her foot.
the house is moving forward paul and aaron have finished the major construction of the bookshelf!
here they are happy and ready to buy more power tools!
i will contract them out for a small fee.....they are very entertaining to watch.....

the nursery is coming along the mural has been started and will be a work in progress hopefully until she is ten years old and decides the room needs to be painted black because she is expressing her artistic side. we have received a wonderful cradle that was hand carved by danny which will be in next weeks baby blog issue.
frankie has taken to her new little faux sherpa bed which took a lot of work but we are establishing cat baby boundaries now hoping for a peaceful and happy house in june.
baby gear: finally decided on a car seat.....there has been much talk about car seats....but one rainy day the car seat occurred and all problems have been solved
thanks grandma & granpa bristol! aside from that nothing more and nothing new just takin' one day at a time waddling through life as i keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger........
this week its a little more of the same: bec is slowing down.......and ready for all things baby because she really misses being able to bend over and pick things up off the ground!
DO NOT forget if you are reading this than you are invited to the best, biggest, bocce ball, baby, brats, cook out!!!!!
MAY 19TH!!!!!
please let us know if you are coming so that we will have enough food....there will be pregnant people in the crowd and well you have heard how they like to eat.

week 32....is it possible to grow out of maternity clothes?

yup it got bigger. sometimes i wake up and wonder if it will ever stop.
i had a dream the other night that i literally became a blimp and was flying over cleveland. all is good....the weather is picking up which is good because i have well not me my belly has grown out of two pairs of maternity pants and two shirts. i am down to a few t-shirts and one sweater which i have not taken off since december (except to wash it of course but when that happens i walk around the house lost and confused.) this week has been good nothing new...except of course the fact that i can't get out of aaron's car with out a fork lift, bending over is now impossible (thank goodness for slip on shoes). we are making progress in the house slow but we actually have managed to confuse the cat by moving furniture.
aaron put the crib together this past weekend! yup we have a crib!
and he did it without swearing! assembling anything especially in our house requires more than patience it requires valium.
we also have the dresser/changing table moved into the nursery, aside from the hole in wall that is in the process of being patched, the scaffold, and power tools it is starting to look like a nursery,
the ceiling has been sanded and painted a little darker blue and is now ready for stars, clouds and a big yellow sun!
what now....almost time to start the mural...maybe this weekend we will paint our big birch tree, leaves, and birds. at this point we have detail and finish work which of course is the best part of doing anything, though i personally really enjoy the tearing things down [phase of home improvement.
the bookshelves are underway. all the shelves are in on one side aaron and paul are going to start working on the side of the bookshelf this weekend and maybe by next week....maybe....we can start to paint them.
its actually happening....in two months aaron and i will be looked at as dad and mom through little eyes, and we might have use of three rooms in the house!
i think that is about it for the week.....
we leave you with a picture of aaron taping my belly button....still has not popped i don't think it will but aaron is determined to hook it up to the vacuum cleaner and getting it to pop. there is never a boring moment at our house.
PS....shower time is approaching: below is a flyer for the shower click on it to get the big version .....please come, please help us celebrate. lets have a big party on the 19th! the only thing we ask is you let us know if you are coming remember everyone is invited women, men, children, and small animals. so if you are coming please e-mail baby@bristolarts.com and let us know how many so we can be sure to have enough grub.
