hotter than hot - but we are surviving one hot day after another - and the best way to survive a hot day is yup you guessed it a PARADE!!!
every year the neighborhood has a parade and the kids ride their bikes down lakeshore blvd.
we never make it the entire way and this year was no exception - we made is about 1/2 way and had to head home to have ice cream, nap and splash with the hose
no big fireworks this year - the nights that we decide to do things in the night it rains and rains and rains
so Sadie and Aaron did try and see some of the sky booms but Silas and I stayed back
as soon as Sadie and Aaron got out of the car is started raining to the town of Bratenhal set off all the fireworks at ONCE!!!
it was fun but lasted about 5 minutes but for a 5 yr old that is plenty
