birthday success

ok we are now hosting a wonderful big 5 year old!
it is hard to believe it has been 5 years - and almost 6 years writing this blog
either way it has been bust and wonderful
so you ask wha' been happenin'?
LOTS of stuff - and as i get older and older and older my memory is not very good and my ability to maintain this blog is slipping and honestly i have not attached the camera to me for ALL occasions so - you will get the little snip and snaps that i do remember and am able to capture
Sadie had a wonderful bday and as she stated "I scored!"
the weather for her bday party was great - we rented a bounce castle and had about 10/15 kids come to the party it was about 85 degrees out without a cloud in the sky
Silas and Sadie bounced for 2 hours straight!
which of course only means - NAP!
but donuts, cupcakes, juice and fruit plus all the new toys who could possible nap??
Silas fell - he barely made it onto the bed he just crashed into a deep deep but short nap - Sadie was stumbling around fighting it but finally crashed for about 30 minutes - waking up ready to unwrap MORE presents
it was a good day!
we have a had a special guest in the house for the last 2 weeks - which has caused lots of excitement and joy!
we got a MIMI! present!!!!
Sadie had a special girls day with mimi and she got her hair done and they went shopping and they did girl things!
This past tuesday both Sadie and Si took a vacation day from school and decided with determination to go through the entire Zoo.
I have to say as an adult I don't even think I could or can do this - but they did something like 4/5 hours later the entire clan walked through the entire zoo - they even rode a camel!
Si was so tired he feel asleep on Aaron's head :)
we had another wonderful guest - cousin Hilary came and grilled out!
so the past 2 weeks have been busy and fun with guests and presents
the weather has been wonderful - and is now creeping into the crazy heat - but we have some plants in the ground and plans to play
the splash park is open and we have been playing at the botanical gardens and the new aquarium (thanks mimi for the membership!) but we are also getting ready for school
Not sure if I made the formal announcements on where everyone is going but - Sadie is going to Campus International  .  Sadie will know about 10 other kids in her kindergarten plus a bunch of kids in the up grades.
we are super excited and have a play date with her class mates in a few weeks
Silas will be going to Montessori School at Holy Rosary and he will know a few of the kids in his class as well.
I feel very fortunate that everything has worked out - it is always stressful to go through these types of transitions but i feel very confident that we are giving the kids both a unique and wonderful opportunity to grow as little people need to grow!
ok - enough babbling I will post some pictures...........
