summer is coming to end only for school to start

it is august now and even though it feels like summer can never ever end - it will, right?
we have gotten the letter telling us Sadie will start school in 2 weeks!!!!
UGH!!!!
so how do we cram in a lot of fun before school starts???
how do we get the last bit out of every day?
go to the beach!!

more summer fun in the sun

everyday we do try to get outside and do something fun
here are just a few pictures of the summer so far
we have been trying to get to Mentor Headlines as much as possible this summer - in the mean time though we have been going to the rec center and Sadie and Si are both doing great learning to swim
Sadie is now comfortable diving into the water and can swim from one end of the pool to the other
Silas is a really strong kicker and with help can go from one end to the other - still working on dunking the head - but every day they both get a bit stronger and a bit more confident!

running around the botanical gardens - Mimi came to visit and we decided to venture out into the world and see a concert in University Circle - it was a fun/exciting night

Sadie and Silas collided with each other and Sadie got her first rather alarming and big bloody nose 

she was a big girl about it and put her head back and pinched her nose - and within seconds was running around like a crazy kid like nothing ever happened

at the botanical gardens the kids got to chase some rather large happy frogs - it was great to watch the kids stop running for a minute when they noticed or heard something new and exciting 

everyday both of these kids amaze me on what they notice
