days of spring/summer
wonderful day to take a tour of statues and flowers at Lake View Cemetery
we ran around and climbed everything who ever knew playing in a cemetery would be more fun than going to the park!!
oh weather is turning back to spring but we did have a week there in the 80's which was wonderful and of course had me day dreaming of grilling and camping - so of course we had to get a tent!!!
out summer is ready!
i am hoping our first camping trip will be at Punderson - which is a metro park in Burton, Oh - ok - i know it is only 45 miunutes from the house - but for kids that could feel like FOREVER!
we are still waiting on the school stuff and playing as much as we can
still plugging away at little projects around the house and getting ready to plant an amazing garden - weekly now i have been cleaning out the basement and slowly unpacking the kitchen and yes the bathroom - i know it has been 2 yrs since the bathroom renovation but i still have stuff in boxes
the next few weeks are going to be crazy with the easter bunny and birthday parties!
Sadie is still going to Karate she is only 2 stripes away from her orange belt!
and she can pack a punch it is amazing to see
Silas is still working on the potty stuff- some days he is great other days he is just lazy - who can blame him - i mean if you don't have to stop playing to use the potty why would you??
anyways that is the update for today - enjoy this spring/summer thing we got going on

Happy Birthday Bumpa!!!
ok - so we have skipped spring and have rolled right into summer for this years celebration of Bumpa's b-day!
great day - we played outside ALL day
we grilled out and had gluten free cupcakes YUM YUM!
all the bulbs are up and we are averaging about 70-75 degrees!
ready to go looking for swimsuits and shorts!!
it is amazing though and wonderful all at the same time things are happening so so fast
Sadie graduates from pre-k on May 24th and they have a little graduation ceremony where all the kids show off what they learned for the year - I am hoping Sadie shows some of her karate moves on some of the mean girls in her class :)
really though Sadie loves karate and is really good at it - she is teaching bubby everything she knows about balance and HI YA's
still waiting to hear from the kindergartens - but that is no surprise in some ways - but either way we are saving money as best we can - which means home improvement projects are on hold till maybe they graduate from college :)
that is it for now - we have jumped in puddles and taken a bath and are getting ready for a snuggly nap with windows open and crock pot cooking some yummy dinner

oh my......
i just looked at the blog and realized in horror - i have kept everyone in the dark for so long about how things are and what is happening - but honestly do you come to the blog to read or look at pictures?
so here it is
Silas is 3 now -
his b-day party was a blast!!! literally - we had the party at a local "bouncy house" place and he jumped and jumped - we had about 15 people come to party and he got lots of super heros or "bad guys" as he likes to call them
so we are knee deep in batmans and spidermans which is wonderful because the super heros like to pretend to play family in the doll house :)
Silas is working very hard to use the potty - we tried the usual tricks of chocolate which worked wonderfully with Sadie - but he is a wise little guy and held out
so we are using other methods of bribing - cars, superheros, plastic insects and animals - but it is working
Sadie is growing up so super fast - she picks out her clothes every night and gets herself dressed every day, she loves to cook and makes eggs, muffins and cookies
she is reading basic words and is learning to read full sentences
both kids spend most of their days drawing pictures - a typical day in our house involves lots of art supplies!
i have so many other stories to tell but right now we are enjoying the spring time weather
we are finally able to go down to the beach and collect beach glass
and we go for long walks and hikes on the weekends
we are still working out the logistics of school - Silas though will be going to http://www.montessori-holyrosary.org/ and we are waiting to hear back form a few schools for Sadie
aside from that we are busy planning the garden and playing as much as possible
