i swear....i won't make this habit

i know the blog is being updated like every two weeks and i really do apologize but this time i had a long list of good reasons why you ready?
1. i went out of town and yes i did it without my two little (sorry three) attachments - work related trip to chicago and when i got home the house was clean, the children bathed, the dog looking a little anxious but all went well so super dad survived 3 days of sick kidlets and no back up mommy help
2. yup the kids = sick......it is that time of year so when i was away super dad went through something like 80 diapers b/c they had the tummy virus of sorts.....that was last week...this week we have mega colds. these are colds that come in wearing black pin strip suits and legal documents stating they are taking your nose into a new dimension for "testing". sadie is being a super trooper. she has a ruptured ear drum and a very bad cold. we are on round 2 of antibiotics b/c only our little girl would kick every antibiotic in the butt. we are allergic to yet another antibiotic, our list of possible meds is getting smaller...which only makes me think we need to move some place warm away from the suit wearing germs.
3. snow - yes cleveland has seen spring than gotten 4 feet of snow to watch it melt only to get 4 more feet the next day....so even though you are saying snow should not be a cause for not updating the blog it is the lack of consistent weather that is making me go shovel, blog, shovel blog??? see it is confusing and makes no sense.
there are more reasons but....oh right the kitchen
like that is a tiny reason but we are moving forward as planned
this past weekend we ordered a dishwasher and a floor!!!!
see it is happening sadie is really excited to help Dennis rip up the kitchen
she has her hammer and her tape measure and is ready to go.....so whether dennis knows it or not he has a little helper
here is the story for the week
Sadie has taken to calling bubby "son"
"Son would you like some juice?"
"Son, don't put that in your mouth that is a choking hazard!"
Silas can sing his alphabet and count to ten....his new favorite color is yellow though he likes to say everything is red at least it is not white anymore

WHERE are the stories??
honestly i am trying not to create mayhem in the world by denying cuteness...but things have been a little busy in both good and bad ways
so i give you all the bad news first:
sadie had strep (though you would never of known it.....because it never slowed her down she just kept running and playing but the break down of tears were more frequent and easily started)
bubby had a great b-day and even got to see dr. huff for a throat culture...but lucky bubby he only had a bad cold no strep...but he did score on the b-day presents and cake so he really did not care
so what else has been going on?
yes....we got the taxes done
and yes...we are going to start our BIG kitchen project end of march start of april
wish us luck
this is the last of the BIG FUTOMOKI renovation jobs.....not to say we are done yet at all....since now for some reason our entry way ceiling is coming down and few other ceilings will have to be knocked out.....but that is small in comparison...meaning it is something aaron and i can do on a few weekend (this is where you start hearing manic laughter and tears, because we never have a free weekend.....and if we do the last thing either one of us wants to do at the moment is eat plaster dust)
so i will take some pictures to show you all what we have been living with for almost 6 years this is where you all feel sorry for us and send us gift cards to home depot
aside from that we continue to play and purge
sadie is still really into dorthy and makes everyone at school call her dorthy
bubby is still into whales, cars, and animals
they both love to hug and tease each other
we are in picky food moment but asparagus seems to be hit (if you tell a kidlet they will tinkle bright green if they eat something they tend to eat a lot of it)
we have been going for hikes in the snow making snow men and having snow ball fights....but we are all ready to start planting seeds and playing in the grass
this winter has been long and typical of cleveland which means we are ready to see it go.....i think i have donated enough car rims to the pot hole project cleveland calls a road!

only a few more days till bubby turns 2!!!!

the odd thing is i sit here trying to think of what to say.....
typically trying to figure out what stories to tell never is an issue because there are just so so many stories but i am drawing a complete blank (at least i am drawing right?)
but things are going well
i hesitate to say that because whenever i do things take a turn for the worse but really things are going well
aaron and i are cleaning, purging, eliminating
if the toy squeezes or responds it is being donated to one of our many friends
actually sadie and silas are going through toys, clothes, even things in the kitchen cabinet to pass on
this is a good lesson and a nice way to move old toys out to make room for new toys
and yes bubby is going to be getting lots of new toys
he has discovered a new obsession whales
he loves whales
loves saying the words whales, loves to watch movies about whales, loves the thought of whales
i am hoping this is a sign he will become an environmental activities and live on a boat protecting whales other than the opposite option
sadie and silas are still re-enacting the wizard of oz nightly for hours on end
i am not sure yet if it was a mistake but i got sadie a dorthy outfit and.....well it is usually the first thing she puts on in the morning
silas is still playing flying monkey and of course i am still the evil witch
aaron and i say each other this past weekend for 4 hours or uninterrupted talk
it was crazy...we had a wonderful gluten free sushi dinner and than a stroll through the toy aisles at toys r us.......
so we are moving forward in hopes of ripping the kitchen apart at the end of march
taxes should go in on wed so it is just a matter of getting everything else ready
like how does one live without a kitchen, 2 kids for perhaps a month???
of course it all is in the dining room....so where does all the stuff go in the dining room???
of course the basement.....so where does all the stuff go that is in the basement???
you noticing the theme and the reason we are cleaning massively
it is all happening but it is much like playing a game of blocks if one piece does not fit perfectly it is possible the entire tower will tumble
on a wonderful note....since we have all been snowed and iced over the last few weeks
today was a balmy 52 degrees!!!!
yup and the people up north you should be getting it soon
what these means besides that fact that the world is thawing and that there are wonderful puddles to jump spring is around the corner
there is more light every day and the smell of dirt is thick and warm!
i am so looking forward to my first day of laying in the grass
