bubby b-day!!!

our little bubby is turning 1 very very soon
it is amazing how quickly one year can go.......and it went by fast
we had an amazing year watching silas grow to bounce and eat
they call him "tigger" at "fish school"
he has two new little teeth on the bottom and an eye tooth coming in
so this still means he is waking up at 1:40, 3:00, 4:15 to tell me ALL about his teeth
at least when he wakes up at these times he is happy......
so since i know you are ALL wondering how is little bubby's b-day celebration going to go.....
it starts this weekend:
we are going to go for dim sum and watch the lion dance for the celebration of the chinese new year!
before that though i am going to take the kidlets to the children's museum so silas can eat sand...because really by the time a kid turns one it is important to eat sand
than aaron and i are taking the 17th off to help bubby celebrate it is his choice on what we do
we may go to the zoo so he can "roar" like a lion (his new favorite activity" or we may just take lots of naps (this is what mommy and daddy would like)
that saturday we are all going to go see elmo live and hopefully have pizza for dinner silas's favorite food at the moment
sunday all of silas's buddies are coming over to play! and eat donuts and bagels!
sadie ordered silas a b-day cake which is surprise so i can't tell you what she got him....
sadie also went shopping with aaron this last weekend so she could pick out silas's presents
she searched the entire store for a dinosaur for him
aaron said he kept showing her dinosaurs saying "is this a good dinosaur for bubby?"
"no daddy"
than out comes a squeal of delight as she points to a stuff orange dinosaur and says
"that's bubby's dinosaur!"
so he got a dinosaur and big dump truck from his sister
this is going to be a fun b-day!
aside from that nothing more is going on
aaron will start working on the ceiling again next weekend and we are just sitting back waiting for spring!!!
the days are getting longer which is great and i can see buds starting on the tree
it is matter of time before cleveland is green again!

the never ending cold!

okay so we have been through about ten different rounds of some sort of cold
i think we are on round eleven right now
but than again it could be silas has a runny nose due to ALL the little teeth
they are nice little chompers and he does like to test them out on crackers
so what has been going on....
not much trying to survive winter in cleveland
which means
hot chocolate
snow angels
shoveling
ripping out the ceiling in the kitchen
and the library
i have no idea what we would do without the BEST library system in the world
i mean ohio knows libraries and ohio knows librarians
sadie likes to sit with me and order books and videos from the library on the computer
i have to say i am proud of the fact that sadie 31 months old understands the concept of a library and asks to go to the library to get certain books, dvds, or cds!
silas loves to be read to and he loves to dance
start singing and he starts dancing ...... this kid has got rhythm
silas goes to school three days out of a week and loves it
he goes to "fish school" which is about a mile from sadie's "food school"
both have made lots of friends
sadie has a boyfriend named fasika and she has informed us many times that she is in love with fasika
she has also been seen in school slow dancing with him....
anyway i better run
school has started up again so i am back to reading very long boring articles about nothing but a few people would ever be interested in

TEETH!!!!!

yes baby silas has teeth
and not just one but lots and lots of little teeth
what does this mean really?????
it means we are not getting any sleep
silas is tossing and turning as one tooth erupts after the other
it also means he is trying to crunch on things so...watch out grocery bill
he is getting ready to eat eat eat!
happy belated b-day to aaron!
we had a great day
we shoveled and napped and really to us that is a complete day
sadie and i went shopping for a dora b-day cake
sadie wanted a diego for herself and a dora one for daddy but.....they are a special order item so daddy got a very berry pie with alphabet candles!
not much else is going on
silas is still trying to climb the stairs which is not keeping to his new years resolution
sadie sings everything - she knows all the mother goose songs and sings them all day and all night
her other favorite thing to do is stick bandaids on everything including meow meow and babe
sadie has started a record collection
sadie and aaron go to the record store and buy some of our favorites growing up the orginal sesame street and disney soundtracks...
yes sadie knows more about vinyl than cds!
enjoy the days stay warm drink hot chocolate and relax......this is our saying for 2010
