some days are filled with misspellings

okay so its one of those days....
you know that day when your mind can not focus on anything other than the dream you had the night before
it has been a hard couple of weeks and again i blame my professors
things have been so super busy and so super fun at the same time i really can not complain
i can enjoy
so i think that is my theme for the week
enjoy
sit back soak in a little sun and watch the clouds wander by while your baby girl runs around naked in the backyard eating blackberries and your son just learned a new octave in his singing voice
I LOVE SUMMER!
i wish i would live in a virtual summer
(do you think it would get boring at a point?)
anyways enough about my minding bending rambles it is late and i have once again gotten 4 hours of sleep
we had a great 4th
sadie and aaron walked in a parade that actually went down lakeshore blvd.
if you are not familiar with our neighborhood let me just say pimper ride.....does that help
anyways it was fun
sadie feel asleep but had fun playing with sam in the wakeful moments
aside from that we ate lots and lots of salty meat products and played
the cousins are in town so sadie has had lots of play and love
silas well he is just mellow love baby
if all babies were like him we would have a population control issue
silas is doing great
he is happy...... unless you mess with his sleeping schedule than he gets mad
but he loves to sleep and attack his toys with a vengeance
so this weekend begins the house meet sledge hammer days as we take out our sidewalk and front steps
mema be warned.....
well that is it for now i better get some sleep

busy.... busy..... busy........like little bees in a hive

oh yes we are a busy little family doing busy little things
and the crazy thing is we are all so busy none of us our getting a special allotted naps in not even silas
so some mornings we are cranky but usually by the afternoon we are ready to GO and play
sadie has two new boyfriends
declan and sam who she plays with every week
and of course her good buddy amelie
needless to say our little girl is super busy socializing and learning A LOT about sharing
i read some where that kids really do not understand the concept of sharing till they are 8 years of age......
which has me a little concerned
because i know some adults who have never learned to share and i also don't want to spend the next 6 years reminding sadie that not everything is hers......
you pick your battles
so what has been happening......
yes i am still waking up at totally crazy hours in the morning to get my homework done
and the 4.5 to 5.5 hours of sleep i get a night are starting to wear on me...the sad thing is everyone things my lack of sleep is due to silas which is totally not true because he has been basically sleeping through the night since month 2
so i blame it on my professors!
sadie is sleeping ALL night in her big girl bed and pushes me out of the room when she is ready to sleep
she is also getting ready to go to "school"
she will be going twice a week starting in one week
which of course we are all excited about and nervous but that is the growing pain of being a parent
silas is rolling over, kicking, talking, and really trying to play with sadie
sadie told silas the other morning that she "loves baby" and gave him a big hug
it is sweet how fond she is of silas
she gets very concerned if she can not see him
and he gets very worked up if he is not playing with her
this means he is on sadie's nap strike also....two over tired cranky babies at 7 pm is an interesting dynamic that makes the dark force look like butter
aaron and i play "defense against the dark arts" a lot in the evening
what are we doing this weekend.....
aaron and sadie are going to be in a parade with sam
we are going to decorate her bike
silas and i are going to sit on the side lines with danielle who is expecting another cutie in a few weeks
than it is non-stop grilling
so we have been eating salads in preparation for an onslaught of salting meat!
we are also getting ready for mema to come visit which means of course getting house projects ready for her to finish
bring your sledge hammer mema we are ripping out the porch stairs and the sidewalk!
we hope to start that this sunday and next week
and sanding down the bathroom walls.....
oh home improvement projects.....here we come!

funny baby stories

silas
silas has days were it takes him a lot to go poop it is on these days we have learned he usually needs a little extra help so he wraps himself around bumpa's arm and gets all red in the face until
ah.....
silas also thinks anyone who dances is hilarious and does the best belly laugh he especially loves watching aaron dance on sadie's elmo mat (secretly we all do)

sadie's words of the month:

• pimper ride (for large 1970's flaming red cadillacs)
• art flies = butterflies
• tree tunnel = taking a walk in the woods you go through a tree tunnel

we are all doing well
silas is pooping, talking, singing and pretend walking
sadie is dancing, spelling, and enjoying being a 2 year old
we are getting out as much as possible taking walks and enjoying the sun and flowers
right not it is 4:30 in the morning as i attempt to get some homework done
trying to get a dual masters degree with two small kids not something i would try again
though i am thinkin' i will get my doctoral when i am pregnant with omen number 3
for now enjoy the pictures and the movies
