oh my aching back

yes it is possible to throw ones back just from picking up a large baby named silas
so cute but the little guy is going to throw me into a wheel chair before you know it
the latest and greatest medical phenomena is i have lost hearing okay partial hearing in my right ear
and no this is not some ploy to be able to say "oh honey did you ask me to make dinner i am sorry i did not hear you, would you mind?"
the docs can not find anything wrong so i am waiting to do an MRI than if that comes back negative i can start shopping for a hearing aid with attitude
i am thinkin' cow print with rhinestones
anyways this is word to all them young ones out there wear them ear plugs at them rock and roll shows
which reminds me my rock and roll husband (who can hear) has a show coming up at the beachland ballroom in june 11 with wussy and doug gillard (guided by voices)
okay done talking about us....well not really school is back in session YIPPPPEEEE!
so i am once again reading super dry boring books about how to manage knowledge
this book is typically on the same shelf has how to herd cats
we have had a couple of great days
uncle danny and darcey came into town and play with both sadie and silas til they both collapse in utter happy exhaustion
silas is laughing out loud and sadie rode a unicycle (with a little help)
since the weather has been treating us we have been bbqing on aaron's new grass green weber
sadie has had a bunch of playmates come over, her friend amelie and sam.....not sure what is more fun...chasing after meow meow or grabbing meow meow
either way meow meow is entertainment for all children
we are getting ready for sadie's big day and no we are not having a panda parade but it will be fun in the sun no matter what
until later enjoy the pictures these babies are growing up so fast

sadie and the ice cream cone

so it happens at one point or another we break down as parents and say its okay to have some refined sugar because we know you will run for the next five miles
and that is what happened
we had a big weekend filled with lots of running and playing
and looking back now very little sleeping
but that is what summer is all about
playing until you fall down exhausted only to wake up and do it ALL over again
Silas had his first play date with Niles
they talked and yelled at us......but it was fun
sadie ran through the house singing "there are 2 babies" "2 babies"
so of course everyone had to be hugged and kissed until once again meow meow became the focus of attention
as grandma says meow meow deserves a medal for bravery and 9 lives........
since the weather is getting nicer we have been taking our nightly walks to the beach, sadie went to the zoo twice last week and rode her bike or ran depending on the mood
aside from that we are collecting rocks and enjoying life
silas as rolled over a few times and can talk non-stop about many important things
sadie woke up this morning and pointed to herself and said "big"
so i suppose she had a dream about being a big girl

enjoy the week of sunshine and lilacs
PS. cutie story:
we can finally put sadie's hair in bunny tails.....b/c pig tails are scary

only one month tell our little girl turns 2!!!!

okay so i find it hard to believe that sadie will be turning 2 this year
and what does that mean?
that means she rides her bike, she sleeps in a big girl bed, she pets meow meow and can say the word family
and we are starting to plan
aaron votes for a panda parade.....
we are taking suggestions i am thinkin' no endangered animals though
i don't have much to say this week
i suppose my thoughts are not caffeinated enough to form any real complete sentences
but i will say this
we are all doing well
trying to play outside as much as possible between rain drops
silas is talking lots
telling us about the things he likes and dislikes
mostly he does not like anyone messing with his sleep schedule
which i am so proud of our little man
he sleeps through the night!
he holds his head up and is very alert unless he wants to sleep
he still sleeps 16 some hours if not more a day
he loves being warm and snuggled especially if mimi is holding him he goes out within minutes
he does snore but for now it is adorable though it has kept me up
i would be sleeping through the night also if it was not for elmo going off at odd hours or being attacked by ninja meow meow
we have only one door in our house and it has a big opening for a little meow meow to crawl through so if we want meow meow to stay away from attacking our feet while we sleep we have to get a little creative on how we keep her contained
so for now enjoy the days as they get warmer the grills are being packed with hamburgs and dogs and the trees are creating shadows!
