who is the easter bunny?

all is becoming green in cleveland
that means the bulbs are up and our lilac tree has buds
that also means we did not have to go snow diving to find easter eggs
we had a fun easter weekend
we went to our friends farm "the rosby farm" to not pick raspberries but eggs!
sadie got 5 eggs with stickers and toys she also ate lots and lots of cookies
and force feed daddy peeps
so lets just say we were a car full of over sugared kids by the time we got home and ALL of us except silas who slept through the entire hunt were fast asleep
we got a big weekend planned
grandpa b will be in town which means once again sadie has a playmate to run run run with her
we have lots and lots of activities planned
be warned grandpa......be very very warned
sadie has grown up so much in the last few weeks
she now helps me wash dishes and she is actually really good at it
she also helps set the table, cook dinner, her favorite is putting out all the condiments even if we don't need any for dinner she thinks the lime juice and capers are always a good and proper thing to adorn the table
silas still sleeps like 20 hours a day
he wakes up for a period to talk in the morning and than he likes to vocalize his day of sleeping as soon as we sit down to eat
i think it is a mental program in all babies parents must not eat
it still amazes me how different sadie and silas are
he is smiling and laughing a lot
especially when he sees either aaron or i do something stupid so in that way he is just like his sister
anyways i think that is all for now.....
and just to keep you updated on the house we have once again big plans for the summer:
new front porch steps, a rail for the stairs, straighten the lean toooooo (garage), garden, nap in the sun, get a kitten okay so these aren't house projects.....put a ceiling in the kitchen and dining room!!!
maybe if we are really lucky finish the bathroom but who knows with two kids life does slow down a little

the new and improved baby toy

why go to a specialize baby store and purchase the newest and greatest of all baby toys when yes you too can own the best toy in the world
one that hums infants to sleep while entertaining the bigger kids with parts and pieces.....
these toys are not made for any other function other than pure child entertainment
so you see i have found another use for the vacuum....
cleaning....now really who does that
that is so 1980's
but i am telling you turn the vacuum on and you can have a gourmet dinner made in just 30 minutes without any hassles.....
aside from my new found love of the vacuum all is going well
we got snow and yes it is april but easter would not be complete with out easter egg snow drift diving
sadie is now learning all about how people come and go....
she knows
"aunt cyndie is in okhoma"
"rhea is in ansas"
"mema is in island"
we had a real good visit with aunt cyndie and sadie and silas played lots
silas has really started talking he has lots to say especially about his diaper
which he does not like wet AT all and will let you know....
sadie on the other hand....(well i promised no poop talk)
we are all doing well....adjusting to the new schedule that involves going to work
so i get up between 4 and 4:30 in the morning so lunch time for me is generally 9 in the morning so that means dinner is usually around noon
my schedule is a little messed up but between diapers and laundry whose wouldn't be
i did get the joy of spending 10 hours ALONE with the two of them last saturday
i still have hair and they are both still alive so it worked out well
sadie was a great help
she helped me change silas's diaper, get the wipes, clean, wash dishes, fold laundry and we even did a dance number or two for silas
life is good in our little cleveland hide out
perhaps when life slows down a little we might actually (or i might) actually leave the house

the house of sick

in some ways i need to say thanks to the healthy pink cells that have been following sadie around for the past two years
aside from one running nose she has NEVER been sick
not a fever, not a cough no ear ache nothing, nada....
till......
i go back to work
no really it happened to both of us
sadie and i got THE COLD
the cough, the headache, the fever the late nights of moaning miserably......
but we both seem to be on the up and up
sadie though has learned how to blow her nose so i guess that is good
so what does one do with a sick toddler?
i have no idea......so we went for a walk in the park and we played....
its a little hard to keep a toddler from not moving
i guess if you duct tape them to the wall you can keep them from moving
just not sure how i feel about that
so how was the first day of work?
it went well
silas actually slept 6 hours straight so that meant i slept 6 hours straight after that it was sort of a gamble but hey 6 hours is a lot
it was good being back at work though i did miss the babies
silas gave me a big smile and grin as i was strapping him into the car seat almost made me cry
but he did really well slept all day for mimi and bumpa and took the bottle no problem
sadie still under the weather even did well getting back into the routine of sorts waking up at 6:00, getting dressed and out the door
aside from that all is quiet as we regain the routine of life
aunt cyndie is in town entertaining sadie with giggles and silas with hugs
enjoy the days we got sun and 60 degrees!
i do love this time of year even if i can not smell a thing
