week 38 or 11 more days!!!! but who's counting

most people who know me wonder if there is anything that will slow me down ever.....well here it is at 38 weeks and 11 days left and i have finally slowed down
i am still at work but i sit all day playing with books and art images in air conditioning so its not that bad....
my brain has stopped my poor little feet look like sausage links
aaron took a picture of them for me today because i have totally forgotten what they look like. my friend holly got me a pedicure and i told the holly to pick the polish because i would never see it so i guess she picked a sparkly pink!
and i have to say to all out there pedicures are the bomb! especially when you can't bend down.
so where are we with the house.....as far as i am concerned we are done!
well for now...paul and charlotte are over at the house every week finishing up little projects which is wonderful
charlotte has done an amazing job painting the nursery.....
aaron and i did go to IKEA last weekend and ended up buying lots and lots of stuff...for example this wonderful bookshelf for the nursery, a new bed for us, a sofa, two new chairs, a rug, a tv cabinet, and some things to help us keep organized
its like living in the real world now when you walk into the house and this is the first time aaron and i ever actually bought furniture!
lets see we have started putting things together......
so we have a wonderful bassinet all ready for when she comes home
she will get to sleep next to my paintings and hopefully have wonderful dreams of chickens
we have a stroller well two actually an original pram which will be fun to take her to the beach in and walk around the neighborhood and we have our all terrain stroller for all the off road driving

we also got her the little backpack from ergo and a wonderful sling: all things to carry baby
went to the docs on tuesday and she is doing fine getting bigger and climbing on my ribs
one thing is for sure aaron and i have a very active baby
now what
we wait
and wait until she comes
so wish us luck and cross your fingers that bec will be two in less than 11 days
until next week

week 37 almost there!!!!!

went to the doctors this past tuesday and after she squeezed and poked my belly she stated "you got a big one"
big one to me could be anything between breaking the guinness world book of records to bec might want an epidural
so...what does a big one mean.....
the thinkin' is between 8 to 9 lbs
so cross your fingers that she stops growing in there
though my belly is getting bigger and all i can eat is like one tic tac and i am full yet still the weight keeps coming!
this past week has been a marathon of fun!
yup fun not work which is always a good thing and a new thing
aaron and i actually were at a loss for what to do on sunday after the shower
not bored mind you just sort of not sure what to do
so we ate hamburgers and hung out with friends well playing bocce ball life is good when one is not working on the house!
so what are we doing.....
this weekend we are going to IKEA to buy a new sofa!
and we are assembling things!!!
like a new stroller and bassinet
we got a bunch of wonderful things from the shower and will actually be putting things away and organizing them!
organizing !!!!! i love that word !!!!! all information professionals love to to organize
i wonder if i will become an over organizer?
anyways...
wanted to thank everyone for all the great gifts and for coming out and helping us celebrate
we will have pictures of the shower posted probably next week
for this week though we wanted to thank everyone for their love and support!
we had about 75 people men grilling in the rain, kids swinging on swing sets, and me sitting in my wonderful butter yellow nursing chair eating cake!
thank you holly, hillary, charlotte, and andrea for making it such a wonderful and special day for us!
once again i blab on and on with my thank yous.....but the husband award still goes to aaron!
aaron and i are both super anxious to meet our little girl
aaron loves talking to her and telling her that it is time to come out and that she needs to follow the voice to freedom!
only a few more weeks!
until (hopefully next week)

week 36 here we go!

you might be wondering what happened to week 35.
well we have skipped it....reason....busy busy busy
what happened during that week is nothing more than bec got a little bigger and has started complaining A LOT more because she has totally lost view of her feet and when she can see them they are so swollen they look like sausage links!
the bookshelf has been completed
yes i repeat the bookshelf has been completed
it was like hearing santa's reindeer hooves on the roof, having a democrat in the presidential office, winning the lotto, any combination of the above
our life is finally becoming a life
there is a light at the end of the construction tunnel we call home
we might have a table to eat off of instead of planks of wood supported by saw horses
bec might actually be able to go through a nesting phase and CLEAN the house
bec might actually become sane
the new development is the crazy slap happy look
a crazy look aaron and bec both develop after working on the house for 12 hours straight
but none of this could be done with out some great sponsors!
so lets thank:
hillary for making our kitchen a swear free zone, painting flowers and bookshelves and listening to bec complain about not being able to bend over
holly for becoming one with the dust and construction dirt in our house and eliminating all tumble weeds of cat hair and listening to bec complain about everything
grandma charlotte for making clouds and so much more that it would take months to list but making the nursery the MOST awesome room!
grandpa paul for making a work of art in our living room and listening to bec complain (bec complains a lot)
and aaron for being the best and most supportive husband during this very happy and busy time he is the best partner and husband a woman could ask for and i can not wait to see him him with daughter because i know he will be the best dad!
thank you ALL so much for all your support in helping us get our house and life in order.
now i feel like i have just won an oscar...my eyes are teary thank you grandma & grandpa bristol & aunt holly for all your support, wise words, and love
thank you aunt melodye for your advice and words of kindness as this is such a new and scary experience its nice to know that we have your love
thank you cyndie for all your comments and gifts they have made us laugh and smile when we really needed it
thank you team at progressive for supporting aaron & i during this time!
we are slowly transforming the home depot look to IKEA!
nothing really more to add:
going back to the doctors on may 22 and than i will be going every week
the baby has not dropped yet and she is getting bigger every day i can see little feet and a little butt pushing against my belly making me look and walk very lopsided
a little under four more weeks to go!!!! and i can not WAIT!!!!
until next week when life starts to slow down.......
ps. i got an A in my usability class at kent, so it is possible to maintain a 4.0 grade point average, re-build a house, work full time and become a station for baby development!
