we have a graduate!
Sadie had a wonderful graduation they sang 4 different songs  o0n stage and as they walked off the stage each kid said their name into the microphone
of course the only voice you could hear was Sadies because she just sparkles!
so she is ready to go off to kindergarten in the fall!

someone is graduating!!!

it is happening the children are becoming real people
i know they have always been real people but now they are going through real big people things
Sadie graduates pre-k this thursday!!!
it is amazing to think she will be turning 5 in a month and heading off to big girl school
you can tell she is nervous by the idea - but we are so totally excited!!!!
we have been busy playing NON STOP
and why not it is summer right?
i had my first race this past weekend - a 5k - and i finished!!! i did not need medical attention and i did it in less time than i expected!
so with this i am signing up for 1/2 marathon this fall and have the entire summer to train - which means i will be getting up at 5am to go running before the sun comes out
we have been going to the rec center almost 2 times a week and letting the kids play - they both are so excited to learn how to swim
between swimming classes and playing we continue to go to the parks to find turtles and frogs
aaron struck a deal with bubby - that if he has a dry diaper by the end of the summer he can get a pet - bubby thinks this pet will be a tarantula - aaron and i think the pet might be a gecko or a newt - who knows we have a few months to figure it out
but he is determined and is doing really well
sadie is determined to go running with me - and i figure i will get her up to a 5k by next year so she can run it with me :) but first we need to get her the same pink shoes!
that is all for now - having fun in the sun

enjoy the days

dragons oh my!

this past weekend was crammed full of of fun FUN FUN!
we went to the international children's festival downtown and watched a play about a little boy born from an egg that was given the task to find the heart of the sun
both kids loved the play and actually sat through the entire thing with out tooo many squirms
we have also started swim classes on friday night at the rec center and miss nana the teacher was very proud of sadie and si both!
in one class sadie was able to kick her way from one end of the pool to the other ALL by herself!!!
si was kicking his little heart out but at one point just clung to aaron and said "i'm tired"
swimming the new guarantee nap maker!
sunday was wonderful out about 75 degrees sunny and clear - the kids got suited up in their super hero outfits armed with sword headed out to the metroparks to slay dragons living in trees!
and yes we did entertain everyone at the park!
how are we going to top it off this week?? no idea i am hoping for a mellow weekend but it is summer time and the kids have goals!
sadie wants to be riding her bike without training wheels by the end of the summer - silas wants to get more toys by the end of the summer :)
my goal is to get everyone in the tent camping at least 2 times this summer! we have been practicing in the back yard - i think it will be a success :)
best comment i heard this weekend from silas "thank you mommy for making me food and changing my diaper"
this has made my mother's day (i know a few days early) but it is a proud moment when your kids realize all that you do for them
