bye bye summer - hello halloween

i know it has been several weeks and here i am saying good bye to summer and hello to haunted houses and trick or treating - but really is there a better holiday?

ok there is.....x-mas....and yes sadie and si have both picked out most of their xx-mas present wishes (which believe it or not are reasonable)

but we have had some incredible days the last few weeks so i will try and remember everything....

meow meow and the car - she is doing great! and by great i mean she has skin and is growing some fur back, she is doing ninja kitty jumps and attacking babe....so over all aside from the fact that she still has a collar on she is doing wonderfully - she will NEVER go outside again or at least till next spring

si - has an opinion about everything - now some of you may remember sadie at 2 think of this on a global level of negotiation....that is si - no to everything

"Silas would you like milk?" "NO!!" "Bubby NO Si!!!"

"Silas would you like water?" "NOOOO!! bubby milk!"

so there it is - we can play the "NO" game for everything and for hours

he is doing great though in his new class, singing the alphabet, teaching the other kids sign language, counting to 20 and running everywhere!

i have to take them to the park every day to run for about 20 minutes or more.....and they do run non-stop for 20 minutes or more.....oh i am not looking forward to indoor days

sadie - what can say....everyday she grows up and learns a little more and teaches a little more, she is learning patience and trying to teach bubby, she is reading and creating stories about worlds for her friends - it is wonderful to just sit and talk to her about anything and everything

her eyes are so wide and creative to everything

aaron - going to be a rock star again this weekend - playing studio-a-rama at CWRU - go rocker daddy (and let us keep our fingers crossed that this time he does not get arrested :)
i will post some pictures and have to apologize for not getting anything up sooner - even though we are settling into some sort of routine it is a bit crazy as i try and squeeze the last days of summer - today we are at a cool 60 degrees which is nice since saturday it was 98 - but this is cleveland nothing is gradual

hope everyone is doing well and stay tuned

the x-mas wish list will be on amazon soon - we are actually going to try and take care of things early - oh and by the way there has been little to no advancement on the kitchen

no doors on the cabinets, a few things primed here and there so i have nothing wonderful to photograph and document...but the day i get more than 3 hrs to do anything it will be done

i would also guess you all want to know what the kidlets will be for halloween

Sadie - Dorthy from Wizard of OZ

Si - monster or ghost it keeps changing

Aaron - and elf warrior

Bec - a marathon runner (so i can keep up with everyone)

we will be having another big party - this year though we will be doing the bon fire and movies in the back yard!!!

what does one due when it rains all day.....

well you do jump in puddles

and you do try and do chalk street art between rain drops

but mostly you glitter the dog and paint anything and everything that moves or doesn't - honestly does it really matter??

we had a great weekend.....we went to the raccoon festival in Burton and the kids danced and ran for like 3 hours straight....
one would think that after all of that fast asleep but not ours they were ready for more
meow meow is doing great!
she is up and moving, her skin is healing nicely and she is meowing at us to be free from her confinement
so aside from the fact that we should build an ark right now everything is going well
we need to finish the kitchen which means paint and put up doors, but we also need to go through the basement and clean up stuff
either way there is lot to do and very little time and honestly who wants to do that sort of stuff if you can go play!!!!
so enjoy the cutie pictures.
