the land of gnomes and trees

it only seems fitting that when sadie and silas walk into the woods the first thing they do is hug a tree and kiss a gnome!
we have had a wonderful couple of days
and actually weeks and i apologize that i have been sooooo slow at keeping you all up to date with pictures and stories
but there are days actually weeks that things are moving SO fast i can not even keep up!
and i know everyone is way more interested in pictures than stories
but we are doing well
sadie is such a big girl with a big heart
she loves to find little mushroom patches....they are gnome houses
silas loves to squash them but he is doing better after we explained over and over that he was squashing a house
he still HATES putting clothing on and fights big time
but at least now we do not have to put him in a fully covered wrap to get him outside
he is talking a mile a minute sings his ABC's and counts to 10 happily
he still loves to play with his cars, trains and letters
sadie loves to build and play by herself in her room.....(typically she is recreating stories between mommy crab and baby panda or something like that it is scary to hear mommy words being reenacted)
we have had a wonderful time playing with mimi and going to the beach
i think the big favorite thing was watching daddy rock out at the beachland and gnome hunting at the holden arboretum
we are hoping for a mellow week: swimming in the lake, playing in the backyard or painting kitchen cabinets.....but who knows what really will happen
enjoy the pictures

non-stop birthday!

we had a wonderful wonderful week celebrating what it is like to be 4
we cried, we laughed, played, and we zonked out in pure exhaustion from playing non-stop!!!!
bubby participated in ALL activities especially chasing the girls around the park.
out big 4 yr old got a new bike which she has already mastered to everyones delight and can bike SO fast it is hard to keep up!
but Sadie and Silas got the best present in the world...their mimi, aunt rhea, uncle danny and cousins ALL came into town to help her celebrate!
so we have been busy very very busy the last few days
the kitchen was mostly done as of 10 on friday and we were able to clean really really fast before the big party the next day...but we were all having so much fun if we never cleaned the babe dust storms no one really would of cared...(well i would of because i would fear losing a child in all the dog hair...next dog we get will be hairless)
as promised i will keep adding pictures and stories as i remember them
until later thank you everyone for making sadie's special day so so special!!!
(and no sadie did not get a french press coffee maker)

it has been ages and ages

  1. wrote about life
  2. told cute horrifying stories about the kidlets
  3. added pictures to the kidlet gallery
