bubby has used the potty!!!

quick update
bubby has used the potty......
we are still in diapers, but he used the POTTY!
i can not thank elmo potty enough!
sadie is getting a bigger big girl bed this week and she picked out a wonderful pair of pink bed sheets
bubby has moved out of the crib (he is sick right now so he is sleeping real nestled with mommy) but he is moving into sadie's room into a big boy bed!!!
so much has happened in the past week just wanted to share since i have been up since 4 am and miss talking to adults

SPRING!!!!!

which means running noses and scrapped knees, mud pies and splashing in puddles
all of which we are enjoying
the days have been warm not necessarily sunny but warmer
which of course we have tried to make it out every day for a run or a bike ride
we are all feeling much better
the antibiotics are working and sadie's ear infection has gone away and silas's very very bad cold is gone!!!!
so with crossed fingers i hope this is it for the next two weeks
we had a great time celebrating bumpa's b-day!
made a yummy gluten free cake and everyone helped blow out the candles and as a b-day present we traveled to the farmpark to eat lots of sugar and watch bumpa run!!!!
so we are doing well
still working on getting things ready for the kitchen
silas is talking more and more ever day and he has grown out of all his clothes!
he loves to tell his sister "de de" what not to do and "de de" loves to tell him what to do
sadie is reading though you never know what she will read or when so be careful when spelling out certain food items like "cake" or "ice cream"
that is all for now...but you see i updated it sooner rather than later

i swear....i won't make this habit

i know the blog is being updated like every two weeks and i really do apologize but this time i had a long list of good reasons why you ready?
1. i went out of town and yes i did it without my two little (sorry three) attachments - work related trip to chicago and when i got home the house was clean, the children bathed, the dog looking a little anxious but all went well so super dad survived 3 days of sick kidlets and no back up mommy help
2. yup the kids = sick......it is that time of year so when i was away super dad went through something like 80 diapers b/c they had the tummy virus of sorts.....that was last week...this week we have mega colds. these are colds that come in wearing black pin strip suits and legal documents stating they are taking your nose into a new dimension for "testing". sadie is being a super trooper. she has a ruptured ear drum and a very bad cold. we are on round 2 of antibiotics b/c only our little girl would kick every antibiotic in the butt. we are allergic to yet another antibiotic, our list of possible meds is getting smaller...which only makes me think we need to move some place warm away from the suit wearing germs.
3. snow - yes cleveland has seen spring than gotten 4 feet of snow to watch it melt only to get 4 more feet the next day....so even though you are saying snow should not be a cause for not updating the blog it is the lack of consistent weather that is making me go shovel, blog, shovel blog??? see it is confusing and makes no sense.
there are more reasons but....oh right the kitchen
like that is a tiny reason but we are moving forward as planned
this past weekend we ordered a dishwasher and a floor!!!!
see it is happening sadie is really excited to help Dennis rip up the kitchen
she has her hammer and her tape measure and is ready to go.....so whether dennis knows it or not he has a little helper
here is the story for the week
Sadie has taken to calling bubby "son"
"Son would you like some juice?"
"Son, don't put that in your mouth that is a choking hazard!"
Silas can sing his alphabet and count to ten....his new favorite color is yellow though he likes to say everything is red at least it is not white anymore
