how does one bubble wrap a baby??

ok...now before you all start panicking i did not actually try to bubble wrap bubby...though after this week it seems like a really good idea
poor little guy took three very hard tumbles
1. fell out of his chair and landed on his head
2. ran into an open kitchen cabinet
3. fell off the sofa hit the train table going down and landed on his head
so the little guy has been re-nicknamed stripe since he has a stripe of boo boos down his face.....but he bounced back happily after each boo boo
granted there were a lot of tears and lots of kisses from his big sister....
so a new year means what?? besides of course all the dreams of winning the lottery....and finishing the house
sadie is going back to the fine arts school for more dancing, art and singing!
silas is going to take shrimp swimming classes at the local Y
sadie and si will be joining reading class at the library and regular play dates on the weekend!
aaron is going to continue to dazzle the world with his ability to strum the bass...especially since he has a new bass!!! happy b-day aaron!!!
we are hoping to celebrate the chinese new year this year and take bubby bowling for his b-day....aside from that i have not planned much past feb but so far we are booked solid!!
sadie's favorite movie right now is the Wizard of Oz and we have to play evil witch, Dorthy and flying monkey almost nightly....
bubby, babe and meow meow are the flying monkeys, and yes i am the evil witch...so that leaves sadie as Dorthy....it is fun but this is also how someone runs into open kitchen cabinets....

2011! ready or not here we come!

yes....it happened 2010 has left and we have now entered the new zone which we will call 2011 the year of healthy thoughts and lots of home renovation!!!
what can i say i am a dreamer
as much as our life continually reminds me that dreaming is for of course dreamers i still try.....
how else will i teach our adorable children that being a dreamer is fun even though not always productive.
i am not trying to dissuade people from dreaming on the contrary that is what i hope everyone does this year
my dream this year is to leave the house at least 4 times without children attached to me!!!
sadie's dream is for bubby to have a complete conversation with him about fairies and dragons and than to help her put on a play about fairies and dragons
silas of course is about cars or dinosaurs...dinosaurs driving cars and than eating them!! (how destructively wonderful!)
and aaron i am assuming wants a new fender.....(well a 1970's new fender)
we made it though....yes 2010! we survived you, you gave us every single illness in the book and we still made it!
we even celebrated...we left the house on new years to play with baby Lucy, and her cousins it was a wonderful eve...we made it back to the house in time for the sugar highs to crash and the canons to go off!!
new years day was great the weather was warm and wet sort of like a typical march day in cleveland....so what is the best thing to do...find a puddle and make pig mud!!!
we went to the metro parks and jumped and played in the puddles until we had two very very wet children, we stripped them naked and threw them in car for a quick trip through the drive thru for some fries!
best way to start the new year!
now we are coming upon b-days!!!
aaron's is just around the corner, he got his first present yesterday a sleep snake to help keep him warm and snugly.....sadie was very specific about getting his sleep snake had to be like bubby's
i will post some pictures of the snakes if you have not meet bubby's yet....he will not go to sleep with out wrapping himself around the snake for a big hug!
silas will be turning the big 2 in about a month!! how exciting everyone is growing up!

before i begin with the stories
sadie, silas aaron and i would all like to thank everyone so so so much for everything this year!!!
you really made this a special x-mas for us all and we appreciate it and send our love and thanks!

so i was expecting an early morning.......
silas was up at about 5:45 but i kept him quiet till about 6:15
6:20 juice in hand the little kidlets began......
silas was the first to the tree, he grabbed every dinosaur under the tree and proudly started showing them to sadie and i
they started with their stockings and made there way through the tree in a matter of minutes!
by 8:00 the entire tree was unwrapped, painting projects were underway, napping in the sleeping bag and playing puzzles!
it was wonderful!
silas got a large, very large plastic dinosaur which sent him off into a frenzy!!
he actually ran into the train table trying desperately to get to the dino!
so overall it was a wonderful and successful x-mas.
so successful that sadie could not even take a 1 min break to go to the bathroom...so she unwrapped presents while on the potty! (yup a multi-tasker)
silas was more into playing than unwrapping presents....so either we can consider him efficient for having someone else do all the hard work or perhaps controlling :)
babe and meow meow stayed clear of the chaos...but they were able to indulge in various gifts
they both were so excited by x-mas, frosty and of course santa!!!
every year is magical with these little people....and it was truly magically to watch their imagination grow at each gift!
