the reenactment of sleeping beauty

sadie LOVES sleeping beauty though i do not think we have ever watched the movie all the way through
really all we do is read the story over and over and over again
and yes aaron and i can read it without the book
aaron likes to tell how after prince phillip and aurora go to college and buy their first castle how they will fix it up and make it a modern dwelling that any prince or princess would envy
sadie LOVES to reenact sleeping beauty
LOVES!!!
she grabs onto a pair of big girl panties and battles the dragon dancing around the room (she is listening to the sound track to keep her on the story)
she yells at maleficent and gives her a time out
so as you can tell our house is full of imaginary play
yesterday sadie dropped issac (bubby) and me off at school so she could go to work and eat a sandwich and drink coffee (sadie believe this is what aaron does at work eat sandwich's and drink coffee...and really i think that may be what he does)
sadie told me when she picks us up we could go to the bie berry berry (library)
there are so many more wonderful stories like this and i will try and tell you all of them
silas is really learning how his words
he says "up" and still loves to talk animal and dinosaur sounds
he also loves to play peek a boo
and lvoes to find little places in the house to hide
he is a funny kid
sadie and silas have gotten to be great play buddies!
it took 17 months but they seek each other out to play
they love to chase each other around the train table
sadie says bubby is the shark and goes running and screaming!!!
this means i can do the dishes
anyway here are some pictures of the bathroom and other fun things
we are actually trying to lessen our schedule up a bit
yes we are super busy ALL the time and in an attempts to keep the children cool and relaxed i am restricting our nights and weekends to only one major activity
this past weekend we went to farmpark and strawberry lanes (metroparks) the kids both just ran and ran and ran
which meant yes NAPS!!!!

ahhhhhh it is hot!

summer is officially here
yes i know it is july so what else would you expect but in cleveland who really ever knows when summer comes or goes
but we are up to the mid 90's today and have been coasting at about that for the last few days
what this means is sticky sweaty naked babies EVERY WHERE
we have a kiddie pool filled up in the backyard, sprinklers ready to go, water table filled with little toy animals that need washing, and a freezer full of popsicles
so it has been good
sadie and silas have been keeping busy playing in the water, going to the community pool, farmers markets, festivals and fairs!!!!
only one more month before all the county fairs get started!! yipppeeee!
anyway aside from staying cool all is going well
sadie amazes us everyday with her drawings and imagination
silas runs while making mooooooo sounds
i am done with school just waiting for my diplomas
aaron is working at selling insurance at 3 in the morning
and all of us are taking every moment we can to sack out in the sun
the bathroom is still going....the built in drawers have been taken out the walls are being mudded and it is only a matter of days before we can paint!!!!
all i have to say is it is wonderful!
so that is all for the moment i know i have many stories to tell but honestly i am way to tired to even think about what they are
so stay cool but enjoy the summer

a successful b-day!

we have survived the terrible 2's right....??
so what are the 3's?
should aaron and i get armor and hide out behind the sofa armed with blueberries and cupcakes?
oh i forgot we are getting ready for silas to hit the terrible 2's
oh the fun never never does end does it
anyway all is good in cleveland
the weather has been super warm and sunny which is nice
everything is very very green and going CRAZY
our little community garden plot it lined with tomato plants and oddly enough some basil seeds we planted actually turned out to be tomato so i think we may have a tomato issue this summer
good thing sadie likes tomatoes
i am officially done with school
which means it is time to play?
perhaps though we do have a lot of project to finish up while the weather is good
need to finish painting the garage and wire it for lights, sounds and yes a disco ball
why not have a toddler dance floor set up to get the wiggles out!
we may get a chance to paint the bathroom next week
but that project is still going
and the list goes on...but we have progressed from peeling paint to real walls!
the latest stories on the babes.....
silas loves anything that starts with the letter "c"
so chicken and cow are his favorite
sadie loves to tells stories and pick clover flowers they say at school all she does during play time is pick flowers!
we try to get to the beach to play at least once a week sadie, silas and aaron can spend hours throwing rocks
we want to send out a special thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate sadie's big day
she is still singing happy birthday and loves to wrap little things into silas's diapers and give them to us
so until later enjoy the pictures and i know i have lots of stories but it is a monday and my mind is just thinkin' about sneaking outside on my lunch break and soaking in some sun!
happy first day of summer!!!
ps. the kids are still tired from the party sadie actually told me last night at 7 pm she was tired and wanted to go to bed.....and she did???!!
