slacker.......

okay technically i am not slacking on the blog.....not really
it has been crazy busy here
just when we thought oh everyone is over being sick
bubby aka silas got VERY VERY sick
poor little guy lost a lot of weight and did nothing but lay around 7 days
but he is doing good
he is eating none stop
and he is trying to eat everything, leaves, dirt, you name it he eats it
which sadie loves because she loves to feed him
okay....so enough sad stories about skinny little bubby
what is up in the land of craggy clevelanders?
nothing much honestly we really are not all that exciting
sadie keeps changing everyday
she is really into the idea of princesses...(which means it is only a matter of time before our house has an explosion of pink!)
in the meantime though she is playing with her cars, chasing after ants, and has declared a fear of spiders
bubby is still trying to figure out the walking thing......the tummy virus though has knocked his attempts down but he standing back and trying once again
he has officially been nicknamed "destructo" and lives up to his name happily
he can say
"cracker"
"oh no"
"da da"
"ma ma"
"thank you" sounds more like "tank u"
the most amazing thing at this point is watching the two of them play together
it took a year but they share and they actually want to play together
it is great! this means mommy can put her feet up (usually for only a minute)
only 2 more weeks till my final masters project is submitted!!!!
which means i am one step closer to being done.....after this one more class and officially i can cross off get two master degrees off my things to do list!!!!
what next?
yes i have thought about a PHD but i think aaron may kill me
we are still staring at the ceiling wondering.....what should we do and how can we do it
it seems simple but like anything in our life it never really is
putting up a ceiling would be easy if it was not our house
but we have lots of projects
so the next on my list
gutters for the lean too and some rain barrels!!!!
well that is all for now - (and yes Jeanne i did this for you sending all our love hope that baby comes soon so you can see your feet again! and yes we will move to paris to help you with your B&B/chickens aaron and i are thinking it would be great to created a Browns themed B&B for all the clevelanders who come to paris you know....all the food would come with toothpicks and be some sort of processed Velveeta cheese spread)

we have survived!!!

okay i should say this while pounding on wood but so far we have running noses but no fevers!!!
so what that means i can tell you stories and post pictures!
sadie has taken to singing a lot
she took her little piano out and started singing this song while aaron was getting ready for work
"daddy has a problem"
bang bang bang on the keys of the piano
"daddy needs a time out form the house"
"daddy has a problem with the house"
"daddy needs to work on his problem"
sadie has also taken to given babe "lipstick" which babe loves to eat (it really is peppermint chapstick)
sadie also loves taking pictures...as soon as mommy gets her act together she will start a photo blog of sadie's latest and greatest
silas the entire time is singing his version of the song which is his imitation of count von count
"ahhh aaaaaa ah"
babe is rolling her eyes with one paw over her nose and meow meow has taken to living outside
silas has taken a few liberating steps before being knocked over on his bucket by sadie or babe
sadie has taken to really watching him and helping him with stuff especially food
she loves to feed bubby which is good
but if he does not take the food she sits back and belts out
"DESTRUCTO!!!!!"
yes bubby is known as destructo by all around and they should since he leaves a path of destruction were ever he goes
aside form that we are just enjoying the bulbs poking up and the warmer days
it has reached 70!
winter was not bad but i am not sad to say goodbye to it
so the taxes are done my masters project is almost done so we are crossing things off the list
the refridge is still in the dining room but someday we will get a ceiling no rush right now since it is ore fun to watch the flowers grow right?
enjoy the days take a walk and look for the skunk cabbage which is the first real sign of spring
a little flower among the mucky mucky.....and yes it does smell like a skunk

the house of sick

i have no pictures and trust me you would not want to see our current situation
i will tell you all this much
i have washed EVERYTHING in the house not once but twice
yes the kidlets got the tummy flu
and than Silas got an ear infection
and we are not sure what Sadie is sporting now but she is looking good with a high fever
so the house of sick is trying to get through our days
aside from being sick we are anxiously waiting for spring
and it has finally arrived in cleveland
the bulbs are coming up, the snow is melting and fingers crossed this weekend we will hunt for skunk cabbage and buy some seeds!
aaron's work schedule has changed once again
i feel as though our schedule changes on a bi-monthly basis....(i think that is because it really is changing that often)
but this schedule we are keeping for at least a year if not longer
he is now working 3 10 hr shifts still as a night owl......but that means we get daddy 4 nights out of the week!!!! yipppeeee!!!
sadie and silas are both loving it and trying to get as many daddy snuggles in as possible
i am still plugging away with classes and will be done this summer
we are also slowly working on the house
we have to level the ceiling in the kitchen before we put up a new ceiling.....small details right?
after that we will probably be moving things around but who knows
there is always something right
anyway sorry about the lack of pictures
i will keep you posted on the illness we like to call home
