five days and no disasters

it is sad when one starts to count the days of no disasters
no trips to ER
no police
no break ins
can't ever say we have a boring life
mema came and last week and helped out with the cuties and provided a camera so we do have some cutie pictures but i am having a hard time finding them man i hate vista......
fingers crossed our new camera comes today b/c we have a weekend of bbq, playdates and hikes planned which of course means lots of candid sweetness
last week we went to Preston's H.O.P.E playground which is awesome and FREE so it is even more awesome
i have never seen so many types of slides and swings and of course sadie has to try everything
it is scary to watch her climb these big things but it is fun watching her face when she goes down the super slide!

aside from getting ourselves back into a routine nothing much is happening
we had a great visit with mema and miss her lots
silas is still hopping across the floor
sadie is talking a mile a minute about everything
she loves "food school" and now wakes up at 5:30 excited to go
i am back in school
taking two classes this semester
one is 10 weeks long and the 15 weeks
wish me luck but after this i only have one more class then my thesis and I AM DONE!
so i think it is worth busting my butt this semester
enjoy the last of summer as fall is coming around the corner which means yes.....i am thinkin' halloween
we are already signed up for the Farmpark Halloween Hayride need to sign up for Boo at the Zoo
we have a pumpkin carving party to go to oh i do love halloween...
still thinkin' of costumes, but i think silas is going to go has a garden gnome, sadie a farmer though things may change it is still a ways off
until later
PS we are still looking for a dog though now i am thinkin' attack fowl like either a goose, swan or guinea....

not a lot going on

*****okay that is a big lie*******
there is a lot going on and i am sorry to say i have no cutie pie pictures because.......
our house was broken into yes while we were sleeping
they stole my purse with the keys and the camera and took the car.....
with out getting into a super long story
we got the keys back and the car but no camera so our week of cutie pictures is now floating around somewhere
everyone is okay and we are thankful for that
so now we are looking for a small but yippy dog to be our alarm system
if anyone knows of a good ankle biter let us know
sadie took her first trip in an ambulance and loved it even though she had a big bump on her head
she is doing well though and telling everyone all about her trip to the hospital in the truck with lights.....
so this was the post prior to all of this.......

there actually is not much going on in the land of sweaty happy babies
we lost water for two days the two hottest days in cleveland
which of course is always interesting when you have two kids
so instead of sitting at home waiting for the plumber we hoped into the car and headed to the beach
why not right?
classes are over at the moment
got an A in both so i have a small break (2 weeks) before i start back up
not looking forward to that but a girl has to do what a girl has to do
sadie calls school "food school" and all she talks about is what she ate
so i guess that is good sign
she has also started to read which is very odd
she reads mostly through association but then sometimes it is because she is actually reading
things we have never seen before
she spells out the letters then sounds them out and viola! she reads them
now aaron and i can not get away with anything
cookies can no longer be called mommy and daddy medicine......
chocolate cake can no longer be called mud pies
oh gig is up
baby silas is still trying to crawl
he is eating A LOT and all the time
he starts to yell at you if you do not have the spoon in the air ready to shovel more food into his mouth
we have a funny little family
which is good keeps us laughing all the time
meow meow is getting big and has been trying to live in the fridge the last few days as it is the coolest room in the house
see none stop adventure

amazing.......

baby silas is approaching 6 months......sadie 26 months
our house is full of adventures and scrapped knees
so what are some of the tales from the hood:
silas is getting up on his knees and actually hopping across the floor
very funny to watch i am not sure if i would call it crawling but he is getting from point a to point b
watch out sadie your brother is coming for ya
he has also started eating
which i have to say has been interesting
lets think sumo wrestler.....
anyways he grabs the spoon and actually feeds himself
he dips the spoon into his rice cereal and shovels it into his mouth...there is no questioning flavor or action he knows what he wants and he is moving forward
corporate america watch out
sadie is getting sneaky she is hiding food in various areas of the house and revisiting them maybe months later
the good thing is the food she is hiding is not egg
she now can hold a pretty interesting conversation on the phone if you are willing to hear about her menu of food items
currently she likes everything that starts with B
beets, beans, berries, and bread
so for now i think that is all......
saturday is my last day of class for two weeks then i am back it once again
UGH
i will survive
