winter solstice just around the corner

its almost time to for winter solstice the shortest day of the year
which only means that the days will be getting longer
YIPPPEEEE!!!
cleveland has been experiencing typical cleveland weather
grey with another shade of grey and maybe if your lucky you may get another layer of grey
thus explains mike the mailman's attempt at x-mas decorations see picture below
anyways what has been happening
lots of little nothings
we did get a tree and no it is not made out of tinker toys though that would be lots of fun
i only did 10 loads of laundry
oh yeah and i am DONE with school for the semester
the big question now is can i possible make it through next semester....
classes start jan 20, i am due feb 14 so that means what? let those who have math skills help me with this one
the tree decorating was fun sadie grabbed everything stated it was a ball and promptly threw it to the ground....
good thing we did not put our special antique glass ornaments this year
we did not make it to see the elmo constellation
bad mommy had to take a nap
which i have to say for not having a day off really since sadie's birth i don't feel all that guilty taking an early morning nap
so now what are we doing getting ready for x-mas and omen #2 arrivals
what do we need to do for #2
nothing really except get a new used car one that has at least 4 doors
oh and find room among ALL of sadie's toys and clothes for #2's clothes and toys
well nothing much and nothing exciting at this point in time
enjoy the video of sadie walking in daddies shoes....lets hope she doe snot do this literally (especially during the punk rock duct tape phase though i have to say i would be a proud mom watching my little girl get pulled off the stage by police)

week 30....month 18

so what does one do after a wonderful feast of eating (thanks to aaron and his magic ways with a turkey)?
well you exhaust the toddler right?
how does one exhaust a toddler who normally puts me to bed by 7:30 or 8:00?
you keep the fun and games coming..........
the past weekend was sadie appreciation activities:
playing in a big leaf pile
eating a big plate of hummus and fries from tommy's
sleeping in till 7:40! (okay this is more mommy, daddy appreciation)
having her friend amelie come over
dancing with grover and bun bun

visiting the children's museum and playing in the splish splash room
taking walks to the beach and swinging on the swing set
x-mas shopping for herself
learning to count to ten
singing the alphabet to her doll lola
falling asleep in the car

so now what? is it possible to top last weekends fun filled hours of playing?

well yes it is possible.......
we will be heading to the natural history museum to view a planetarium exhibition that is for kids under the age of 2
my curiosity is.....how will they keep the attention of a room full of kids under 2?

elmo constellation?
after staring at the starry skies we are getting our tree
than the fun starts...
how to make a tree child proof? tinker toys
lets say there may be sewing...........
#2 is doing well he is getting bigger every day the good thing and bad thing is he stretches all day long and is quiet at night so as i sit in meetings i watch my belly go up and down and move from one side to the other its actually rather bizarre but hey sometimes it is better than the meeting
enjoy the pictures and the days

PS: this morning sadie pulled out her binky or her pacifier lifted my shirt up and stuck it in my belly button and said "baby bink"
i think she is ready for her brother
