almost 11 months.....

we are getting closer and closer to that big day when sadie turns 12 months aka 1 year!!!!
so what has been happen' in the world of fish kisses and spud puppies!
we got a top tooth...and it is causing some pain (for mommy and daddy)
sadie has taken to chewing anything and everything
her favorite are my car keys
and lets just say no imitation keys will work.......they have to be the dirty overused keys that mommy has dropped in the mud
oh but mommy is happy she is done with school! (for a month)
the house plans are still underway......just waiting for some contracts to sign and we out with the yellow and in with the.....grey! (okay so we went with the conservative boring color if it was up to me the house would be hot pink)
this past week was an interesting haze of nose blowing and moaning
the whole family (sadie included) got THE COLD
now this is not any normal cold this is the kind that knocks you into fever induced dreams that leave you thinking that the dust bunny's name is ralph and that ralph is the king of france?
anyways even in our bad moods and sniffles we did make it for a hike at nelson ledges which was fun
the day was wonderful the sun was out and sadie got to play in the dirt......
this baby girl loves dirt and moss
she did good and only tried to eat one acorn aside from that she just grab fists full of dirt in a mad frenzy of mother nature love
her new thing is baby love
she LOVES babies
she talks to her cousin emily's picture and gives it big wet kisses
its funny to think that sadie does not see herself as a baby just a baby kisser (she looks like a little politican kissing pictures of babies)

10 month old toddler?

it is true sadie has graduated from infant to toddler in the matter of minutes
though her preferred method of madness is still falling and crawling really really fast to what ever item it is that we are trying to hide
i apologize for missing last weeks picture and data update
believe it or not we have hardly taken any pictures? !?!
man i feel like a bad parent now i have missed one week....as though 1,600 pictures is not enough right?
anyways what is going on in the wonderful world of cleveland?
we are all very excited that sadie's aunt mel, uncle danny and cousins darcey, conor and maggie will all be coming to play for sadie b-day!
i am sure sadie has lots and lots of kisses to give them
she has been talking to her cousins pictures since she was just a little sprout
so what does graduation from infant to toddler mean.....
sadie is walking not cruising (though she still likes to cruise) she has let go of the furniture and has taken bold steps forward
she loves being outside
words added to her vocab:
tree - for the horticulturists in the family this should make you happy (though it is not in latin)
thank you which sounds like tank ewe
i want down which sounds like i wa dow
all done which sounds like a don
frankie which sounds like ankie
there is also a lot of pointing going on and words i have not been able to translate.....though mimi is on the mission and usually can translate all of sadie's words
the house:
that is a story all in itself as it usually is but we are still in the process of working things out.....but now we have a different plan.....
we are finishing the windows in the house, new siding and new gutters
our front stairs are yes going to be ripped out by us and we will be pouring a new concrete pad for them to sit on......because we love a project than if all the planets are aligned and the world is free of mosquitoes we will be having a local company drop in place concrete steps....
so cross your fingers!
we are still working on the back yard and getting that cleaned up to rototill so we can plant sod
(sadie loves to eat grass and dandelions)
i have only have one more week of school!!!! yipppeee!!!!! and still have not figured out if i want to take a summer class
i am signed up but it is very hard to convince myself that sitting in a library class for 8 hours a week will be fun.....
aaron and i have started another blog (which is still in the works) but its all about hikes in ohio
so on sunday we plan on taking a new hike somewhere near, next to, or by cleveland
we took a hike at brandywine falls...it was a good day to see rabbits and wildflowers
until later enjoy.......this is a movie of what happens when one takes a break with sadie....you are a jungle gym for her amusement

okay now we are 10 months!

what does a 10 month old baby do?
she walks and talks
okay so that sounds like the newest line of fisher price baby dolls but it is true
sadie is becoming more confident on her legs and can take up to ten steps without any assistance
her new word is "all done" well it sounds more like "a da" but it is clear it means all done because she is usually conducting an amateur wrestling match with her bib at the same time
her hair is growing which means by her first b-day we may be able to put one little bow in it!
the weather this past week has been wonderful
the sky is a clear medium hued blue with no clouds
the sun warms up the air to about 60 and the trees are starting to bud!
so what do we do now......we go for hikes and walks in the woods
we bought a book 58 hikes around cleveland and we hope to do them all this summer
this weekend is nelson ledges
still figuring things out with the house but we are closing in and fine tuning the details......
still looking for a bricklayer to work on our porch steps
aside from that we swing and sing because it is wonderful to be 10 months old!
