week 34 - why crawl when one can walk?

on monday everyone asks.....
how was your weekend? do anything fun?
my answer to that is......
i watched sadie play leaning tower of baby all weekend as she tested her feet and coordination!
it is amazing how fast things happen
and how quickly the leaning tower of baby topples
aaron and i look back to what seems like years ago but was only four months at were our little girl
was: she was cooing and learning how to turn over
now it is elmo all the time crawling everywhere and nothing can be left alone until she has tried to pull herself up on it!
even frankie has been witness to this as sadie crawls towards her with a little fist out to grab and pull a tail or an ear!
this week sadie has replaced maaaaa maaa and daaaa daaa with "elmo bo" meaning elmo book and "enimo bo" which means animal book
she waves hello and goodbye to her reflection in the window and the mirror, first thing in the morning when she see da waking up, when mimi or bumpa arrive, when ma goes to work or comes home basically ALL the time
she talks non stop loves listening to 80's punk rock and drums on her high chair nightly
aaron is back on his normal schedule
YIPPPPEEEE! so we are parents together again
very nice i actually get to see my husband in the day light
so what this means besides seeing each other, eating meals together it also means time to start working on the hosue once again!
we finally hung up some of our art work etc this past weekend and put up child gates.....
which one would think is an easy task until you enter "the collinwood zone"
the collinwood zone aka our house means nothing is square, level or remotely easy.....
so the gates are installed you can open and close them so that being said sadie has a new containment unit the living room!
still need to put face plates on the outlets (that is weekend project #2) which means patching walls and touch up paint
but that will be of course after ALL the shoveling we are expecting to do
yes cleveland is getting hit with winter!
we are down to the single digits and below with wind chill
expected six inches in a few hours and freezing rain to make things interesting
wish we were in hawaii.....for more reason than the weather welcome home danny!)
the tooth has officially shown its white and we are back to sleeping a somewhat normal schedule!
PS: if you are wondering...all these smiling pictures of sadie are not just special for the blog she really does smile and laugh ALL the time.

week 33 - WE GOT A TOOTH!

the bags under my eyes are now explained.....
sadie has been sleeping in a rather odd pattern actually sadie has not been sleeping
which means i have not been sleeping but it all makes sense
when i wake up at 3 am to sadie eating the blanket muffling out a ma ma maaaaa & da da da da!
she has a tooth!
a little white tooth on the bottom and she does love getting it massaged!
and she loves trying to chew on frankie
so much has been happening
it is like one day we had a cute quiet humming little girl that loves cuddles and snuggles now we have squirmy wiggles who can not move or talk fast enough
she is crawling FORWARDS (yes she finally figured out how to move forwards) saying elmo or bo and reaching for her elmo book
we have had to learn how to put a diaper on while she is in transit which has been interesting and is making both aaron and i become ambidextrous
a skill neither of us really wanted to learn
she loves chinese food and mexican actually she loves food and eats lots and lots
her favorite activity right now is flying or hovering over frankie well frankie walks, eats, sleeps....you get the picture (frankie is not a fan of this)
her favorite toy right now is the remote and ma or da's phone (taking bets on how much longer the phones will last i am thinkin' another month.....)
that is all for now....
oh there is some more exciting news......
i get to meet my husband hello husband!
aaron's crazy schedule is going back to normal YIPPPEEEEE!!!!!
our days of being single parents are over..........
just in time for sadie and i to fly to RI to visit country grandma & grandpa and cousin emily!
