week 31.....and what a week

this has been an exciting week. i will do my best to tell the whole story and nothing but the story.....before i do though lets get a few things out of the way
after a snowy easter we have finally reached 50 degrees the snow has melted leaving little daffodils flopped over but we made it above 30 so that's progress
the house is still standing and everyone has been busy trying to get things in order. the computer did move out of the nursery so the nursery is cleared and ready for the ceiling to be sanded which means we are one step closer to painting the mural on the walls and the ceiling.....remember the ceiling is going to have little gold and silver stars everywhere behind clouds and the sun!
what kid wouldn't have fun staring at the ceiling for the first nine months with all that.....we might move into the nursery and give her our room who knows.....
the bookshelf is moving forward. there are actual shelves in the bookshelf!
this weekend is of course is the same a little bit more of a little bit. progress is in the air!
now that the formalities are done with lets get down to the nitty gritty on why this week was a monster week.
tuesday afternoon bec was happily working at work playing with images etc when she decided to go get some water, well that was just the beginning something happened on the way to get water and bec almost passed out in the very very busy museum cafe....trying not to make a spectacle of herself she grabbed a chair, a co-worker and started crying...what else can a pregnant girl do she almost fell tummy and all.....after gaining some composure she was escorted back to her office where she sat hoping the spins would go away, no luck. with a desperate call to the husband she decided to go home. husband being the good responsible man that he is took me to the hospital were my doctor had left instructions on how to deal with me.
i got hooked up to all the monitors (and this little baby girl does not like monitors she found each little hockey puck that was attached to my belly and kicked at them) after about an hour a doctor came in to test my blood sugar and pressure all of which were perfect and asked if i could feel the contractions......well no i couldn't.
after about another hour of watching the monitors kick every five minutes (which i guess where my contractions) the doctor tested me to see if i was at risk for going into labor in the next two weeks, and to find out if i was dilated and going into labor that minute....thank goodness this test came back negative and it is still just aaron, frankie, me and little pod growing happily in her home.
though this was a very scary moment for ALL of us but all is good and i have the green light to go back to work, drive my car, and even work on the house (which no one thinks is a good idea but i really don't like sitting i am not a good sitter.)
so keep your fingers crossed that we still have two more months.....until than we will continue our plan to work on the house smell the snow, and relax when breathing.
thank you everyone for your support during this week. until next week.......
we leave you with a picture of her in her first little outfit!

week 30....am i a bumper car?

the definition of pregnant: 4 : containing a developing embryo, fetus, or unborn offspring within the body. according to the webster dictionary.
bec's definition of pregnant: swollen feet, dizziness, headaches, bad judgement of personal space, bumper car, and a space heater for cat and husband.
this weeks fun belly stories:
well reaching over the stove to get a bowl out of the cupboard, bec cooked her belly and actually burnt a hole in her shirt...my friend mel pictures the baby rubbing her little hands together enjoying the heat like she was sitting in front of a fire.
learning that turning sideways to get into a tight space doesn't work, and last but not least..... painting with ones belly, i was happily painting this weekend and realized that what i had painted was now being rubbed off by my belly
word to wise always paint top down.
we also discovered that turning a flashlight on and shining it on the belly and moving it around is lots of fun, because yes she does chase after it
like a laser point and a cat, baby and a flashlight will provide hours of entertainment
we are being asked lots of questions so......here's my attempt to answer a few
names: still thinin' but we like lena allerton koonce or sloan allerton koonce.....think we might wait till she pops out than we will analyze her and figure out which name best fits her (from what i can tell) big personality.
have we registered...yup follow the arrow......but to make it simple everything can be found under aaron's name at babies-r-us or target or amazon
think thats the majority of the question if you have any please let us know as i am information professional and that is my job to answer all questions
this week for the house:
i am starting to feel like bob vila....anyways we are still working on the bookshelves but all the wood has been cut so now its like playing with legos...frankie still can't figure out what is going on
the nursery is moving forward, the trim has been painted and the closet is being painted
hoping to move everything out of the nursery this weekend so we can finish up the two walls and get ready to sand the ceiling before we start the rest of the mural
we have a wall in the studio ready for us to move the computer to
we are getting there one nail at a time
cleveland oh cleveland.....we had 77 degrees on tuesday eve and we have three inches of snow by wednesday
this makes me very sad because i have very few winter clothes that fit and no boots but it is cleveland and it has snowed for easter before
thats the update for this week i leave you with a conversation between paul and aaron
aaron: "don't know what we are going to do if bec has the baby early"
paul: "i know what your going to do"
aaron: "what?"
paul: "punt"
